I just purchased an EmpireTech SD49225T-HN camera from Andy (great service and responsivness! Thanks to all here for the pointers). The installation manual starts with a section on the various DIP switch settings, speed dome address, baud rate, parity, etc. and how they can be changed. I have a backgound in systems engineering but I'm new to this area. I understand the terms but no idea what impact these settings would have on my camera use, or why I would change them. I'm sure I'll learn this over time, but for now, is it OK to assume the settings as shipped are correct and start with just those defaults?
