I am having vinyl siding installed over my existing T1-11 wood siding next month. Now my cameras are mounted directly onto the exterior wood walls, how do I mount them onto the vinyl siding?? do I mount them directly to the siding, or is there some kind of bracket I install onto the siding, then install the cameras on that bracket??

Sorry, it this question has been asked before. Thanks for any assistance.

If you don’t want to put holes in your new siding you can use Vinyl Siding “S” Hooks. I screwed a block of wood to the back of the square and screwed these into it:

Not sure how that works, but I think it is too complicated for my simple brain.

They came out today to do the measurements, and said that they will remove the cameras, install the "brackets" for the siding and re-install the cameras...

Make sure to add a bead of caulk around the base of each camera to avoid water ingress ;)
