Hi all, hope somebody can help.

We had a Hikvision DS 7604NI-KI/4P installed by a CCTV company about 18 months ago and it has been working absolutely fine up until now.

Today we have got up and have intermittent beeping coming from it.

We have done quite a lot of googling trying to help us sort this out but to no avail. When the system was installed, we do not know what the password was, so we are having an issue trying to login into the web browser page using the IP address.

Is there a different way of finding out what the issue is and getting it sorted without logging into the web browser page? We have the 'iVMS Client' on our PC's and the Hikvision apps on our phones.

Possibly a failing hard drive or network issue (IP conflict or attempted access).
What is the pattern of the beeps?

Will the installing co. provide you with the password? If you paid them to install it then it's yours and they should provide you with the username and password.

Will the installing co. provide you with the password? if not I'd tell them to come get the #$@% thing....if you paid them to install it then it's yours and they should provide you with the username and password.
The pattern of the beeps is as follows: beep, beep, beep, beep. Four beeps in rapid succession, evenly spaced apart.

Also, about 1 minute apart from each sequence of beeps.

There may be info on the errors causing the beeping to be found in the logs located under "maintenance" => "log" => "exception" but you need to be able to log in to the NVR. :idk:

That's why we have been trying to log into it. I will try to give the installation company a call tomorrow to see if they can help with the password.

If you go into the "Exception" menu and disable then save the "audible warning" for each catagory then it will stop the beeps. Notate which one turns off the beeps as that will let you know what is the issue. There are a few catagories that pertain to the same issue. Those would be for recording errors or network errors. You can go into the system logs to find out what caused the beeping in the first place.

Oops.... Then guess will need password reset on recorder.... On an older firmware then use secure code, if newer firmware then export XML file to send in. Unless OP is luck and has a flash drive with a GUID file on it.

It does lock you out after 5 or 6 tries so even if you put in the correct password after that, it won't accept it.
