IP Camera pod recommendations

I thought I'd hit a gold mine when I read specs and sames from a Foscam 9828 1.3m for a large outside area but it's been a real disappointment. What do the 'big boys' use? Occasionally you can see a city street, neighborhood, etc online or television and it's an excellent picture. I'm trying to find an IP cam for a small park area. Anyone have ideas? TIA
