If you roll back the problem goes away? Was there something in the release notes that indicated it was fixing a problem you were experiencing?
Yes, rolled back and everything is fine.

Was there something in the release notes that fixed a problem I was having? Absolutely not! haha! I just wanted to see the new maintenance center that it included.

Ran into a strange issue when updating my IPC-Color4K-T180 to latest firmware (build 2023-09-18).
After the update the camera did not come back online.
It was pingable, but neither HTTP nor RTSP was working. Port scan revealed only port 8088 was open.
Power cycled PoE a few times and it did not make any difference. Left camera alone for 15 minutes and it never came back online.
Turned PoE off overnight.
In the morning, got my ladder out and removed the MicroSD/reset cover from the camera.
Went inside and turned PoE back on. Was about to head outside to press the reset button when I noticed the camera came back online.

Figured I would document this here in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

I have not run into the "No Signal" BI issue yet (although I'm an older version of BI).
I was recently unable to contact a 4kt camera after a power outage. It came back on it's own 3 days after the original power was removed. Prior to that it didn't exist. No utility could find it on the network despite network commonality with all but 1 metre of cable . This is the 2nd time I've seen this. On my other camera, it didn't become contactable at all although that also showed other issues as the picture whited out over several days to nothing. In the end I had to have it replaced but then strangely it became contactable again on a laptop shortly before it's return after several weeks of trying everything to contact it via both browser & utility. Something adverse seems to be happening to 4kt's when the power is unexpectedly removed or maybe in your case when they reboot from firmware update.

Hard to say. I know my 4K-T's have lost power in outages before and returned to service no problem.
 
I updated one of my 4K-T cams with V3.140.0000000.22.R and had nothing but trouble. This certain cam has always been in self adaptive mode because it just works for its location and what I'm using it for. With the new firmware it seems like self adaptive mode is broken. The day time image was great, but as soon as it got dark enough, the image would just switch to a garbled mess (See pic). Like the camera couldn't adjust to the new darker surroundings. I use my own accessory LED lighting which has always worked great. The fixtures are on dimmer switches. I could get the camera image to return again if I increased the lighting with the dimmer switch slider but 25% has always been perfect with the previous firmware. Even when going into manual settings for shutter and gain, if the shutter speed was too fast the garbled image would return. The camera just needed a larger amount of light than before to work at all at night. I have since reflashed the camera with the earlier firmware version and all is well again.

By the way, yes I did the three factory resets before and after updating and used good old Internet explorer for everything. And, just because I'm a curious sort, I went and updated a second 4K-T of mine with the same V3.140.0000000.22.R. It behaived exactly the same. Also, I tried different FPS/Bit rate combos, etc with the same issue. Was set to 264H.

For kicks and grins I loaded this version on my camera.

It works fine.

I had to delete the browsing history of the browser so that it would download the newest plugin, so I am wondering if you are using an older plugin?

Interesting. Even if I was using an older plugin and that was causing the issue, why is it not causing the same issue with other firmware on the same camera?

Some of the plug-ins are unique to a camera or firmware.

I have enough different Dahua OEM cameras that I have experienced this before and I have to either delete the browsing history or delete the plugins in order to get an image.

Unfortunately they are all called the same, so the camera thinks it is available but it is a mismatch to that camera.

With the V3.140.0000000.22.R firmware the daytime image was perfectly fine though. It was only going into garble mode after a certain level of darkness.
 
Well I took one for the team and installed the V3.140.0000000.22.R firmware again on one of my 4K-T's. This time I cleared everything on IE first. It did want me to install a plugin which I did. Anyway, it's nice and dark here now and the firmware is working just fine.

I seem to be having the same issue that @Keizer has with V3.140.0000000.22.R, Build Date: 2024-06-18. Where can I download the older V3.120.0000000.39.R.230918 firmware from?

Did you try the solution of clearing out the plugins in the browser first?

The issue comes up on BlueIris. It seems like when it goes into night or day mode it will get all garbled on BI. Within BI if I select restart camera it restores the image.

I only just received these cameras and have not set anything up, just testing them on the bench right now. All the settings are on default at the moment.
