IPC-HDW5231R-ZE Rhea V2.800.0000016.0.R.200430 Latest new firmware

I thought I had it fixed but its still not working. I reset it numerous times and the green light goes off and comes back on. I can't connect to it directly through a web page. Config tool will find it and initialize it but even after that I can't connect to it. It's showing it has the new firmware.

Reset sets all of the settings to the default values for the installed firmware. On some models there are a couple of exceptions for the settings. In particular the IP address.

I have ( 4 ) older IPC-HDW4231E-AS and looking for firmware :V2.800.0000015.0.R, Build Date: 2020-04-30, any assistance is appreciated. This firmware15 works best for me as my other 2 cams have version 16 and would like to return back to my previous firmware, Thank you.

Hi! I have the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE I bought from Andy in 2018. I've never updated the firmware - using 2.622.0000000.18.R, Build Date: 2017-11-10
I have them blocked from the internet. I'm not using the upload function in the camera admin. Things are working fine so I don't think I'll update, but for reference, where can I download the latest firmware? Tried here: Firmwares
Thanks!

Thanks for this. For anyone else a bit confused - I am reading multiple ways to get the firmware:
- "Just send Andy a PM"
-"Yes just update through the camera web GUI and you should be good"
-"Index of /images/Files/Firmware"
-From Andy "Lots of guys asked for this fw, i upload on the 1st page again." - This is now obviously what this thread is about - the most recent version is updated by Andy on Page 1.

If you found the firmware not work with your cam, can change back to
DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000015.0.R.200430.zip
IP camera very seldom brick, not like NVR.

I am using the Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-ZE with firmware V2.800.0000013.0.R. Do you recommend that I upgrade to V2.800.0000015.0.R? Some people in this forum were saying that the camera continuously contacts a Chinese cloud server, what is this all about?

If your camera al working well, then no need to make upgrade. I post the update list on the 1st page.
a Chinese cloud server,I haven't hear too much about this, as i know cams right now all use amazon cloud

Looks like the original fw you used are bit old, has big gap may bring some problems.

I think I’ve found an issue/bug with this firmware, all my cams randomly, not too sure under what circumstance right now but I run all my cams with substream 1 disabled and substream 2 enabled. What I’ve found is that the cams revert back to enabling substream 1 and disabling substream 2 which causes BI to then report a no stream error.

I’m not too sure right now but I think it’s associated with powering the cam down ie unplugging the network cable or restarting the cam causes this issue.

I’ll do some more testing and report back.

Edit: scanning back through this thread I see that others reported this issue and it does look like it’s associated with power cycling the cam.
