ooh, was just about to lay down some cash on a different cam, but this is what i was hoping for, for a long time. Cheers for the heads up.

Nice. I wonder what the price will be. I’m awaiting shipment info, but I went with 2231 varifocals because the FOVs I require didn’t make much difference in the PPF relative to the fixed lens options.

The specs for minimum illumination and LED distance are not as good as IPC-T5442TM-AS. About the same as the IPC-HDW2232T-ZS-S2. These are paper specs, would be interesting to see real-life examples.
Perhaps its minimum illumination with full zoom ..?

I was just browsing Dahua and found this threw it into google to see if it was selling anywhere and this topic came up.
Looking forward to seeing some real life examples reviews of it.

There has a IPC-HDW3841T-ZAS will be released in June. 4K model.

  • 4K 20 fps + SMD Plus + Perimeter Protection + Starlight or 4K 30 fps, two modes in one FW
  • - SD card slot, built in Mic, alarm
  • - 3 streams

With that size sensor and 8MP I am assuming the low light performance will be sub par. I would love to be proven wrong. I'll wait to see the reviews. For now the 5442 is my camera of choice and is replacing my 2MP 5231's where I don't need the varifocal

Thank you Andy. By any chance do you know if any new cameras coming anytime soon in 4/3 sensor size like the SD8A820WA-HNF ?
