I thought my issues were android app based. My IPC-HFW8232E-Z cannot be accessed locally (or externally). I may have changed the HTTP port to 6064 (cannot confirm), buy either way I should be able to access locally correct? my ping to 192.168.1.108 results in "Destination host unreachable." when i scan my network I can "see" the cam at 192.168.1.108.
The dahua config tool does not find the cam either. Any assistance is appreciated.

is 192.168.1.108 on your subnet? you need to be on 192.168.1.X

that IP is on my subnet. now i cannot see the cam with a network scan. i have never had an issue like this. even if i changed the http port, i still should see the cam locally. i am throughly confused.

Ive never changed the http port; do a full network scan w/nmap and see if anything is running.. or check your dhcp logs and see if it didnt get another IP.

changing port numbers is very likely to break the config tool; its probably looking for a device w/port 80 open and responding.

If you change the HTTP port you need to enter that after the IP address

i used Mitec network scanner since nmap was a bit confusing after I ran it. mitec is showing 192.168.1.108 as being the cam. the cam worked fine last night locally, but when i changed http ports it had issues. im quite show i changed the http port to :6064 which when port scanned says, "could not see your service."
the ports are open on my router for the ports i decided to use on the ip cam. i just do not understand why i cannot get the cam locally..even with 192.168.1.108:6064
