IPC-T5442T-ZE missing zoom

I got an EmpireTech IPC-T5442T-ZE via Amazon from the most recent sale. I'm trying to configure it, but there is no UI for the varifocal / zoom. Trying to zoom in BI also doesn't work. This is right out of the box.

It is in the camera GUI, Settings -> Conditions -> Click on Zoom Tab.

Use find/inspect in the video configuration tab and accept what it finds. Enable ONVIF there as well. Make sure PTZ is enabled on the cameras' config in BI, a separate tab in the camera configuration. Remember a varifocal is not a zoom camera and is designed to be set and left at the desired zoom level. The zoom mechanism is not built for constant use.

Great thanks! I want to use the BI app from the attic to dial everything in since using a web interface from a phone is terrible. I plan to set it and then never adjust it.

I have the same Issue. I have DMSS app and the NVR. Where do I set the camera focal length?

Neither. You should make all adjustments on the camera.

But until you learn the hard way why that is, On the NVR and DMSS you go to the live view and set the zoom.

On DMSS click the bottom left icon

Then use the magnifying glass icon at bottom

But how to access camera? Is there an app or interface? My only way to access or interact with system is via nvr or dmss app

Yes, login to the NVR
Go to the Camera registration page
Click on the blue IE icon for the camera you want to adjust

IF you have a Dahua NVR with built-in PoE switch... DO NOT follow instructions telling you to use the config tool or switch the IP of your cameras or initialize anything..! With NVR's typically with a -P designation (Built-n PoE switch - example: 4208-8P-4KS2) none of that is required and it...

I am able to login to the NVR and camera via the web interface but i cannot find the "Conditions" under settings.

Go to the right and hit the plus or minus it right click hold on the circle slider and move it.

Nobody seems to understand the new UI

CLICK ON THE LITTLE HOUSE ICON TOP LEFT

This will open the full top level menu to the camera
