I recently got an IPC-T54IR-AS S3 from EmpireTech and was attempting to configure it. However, I ran into some issue with the hostname. It was my hope to use mDNS/Bonjour to reference the camera, and so far I have seen 3 potential hostnames:
Network > TCP/IP > Host Name (default = "IPC")
Network > Bonjour > Server Name (default = Serial number)
System > Genera > Basic > Device Name (default = Serial number)
The Bonjour name is in fact the service name, but it advertises the mDNS hostname of [SERIAL NUMBER].local. I can't figure out how to change this. Attempting to set the service name "Server Name" to something ending in "_http._tcp" I get an error: Name can only include numbers, letters, underlines and hyphens.
The device name is used in DHCP requests
The TCP/IP hostname I can't find being used anywhere
How do I change the mDNS hostname?
