IPVM - -Hacked Hikvision IP Camera Map

No, just not stirring the pot unnecessarily. You're inferring too much from what's basically a casual conversation on my part of the possible benefits of the way it was handled. Not everybody is a conspiracy theorist. You're the one acting like I insulted your mother. Chillax dude.

I dont understand, YOU are the conspiracy theorist coming up with silly reasons why the oems were omitted that I have PROVED make no sense in any scenario your mind creates...I just dislike stupid - actually I hate it and throwing out accusations with no basis in fact, attacking his credibility..as if he was purposely covering it up...

I can only identify a couple of the cameras on the parts of map that I looked at

Your logic is shakey and your judgement of intent is way off. The presentation seemed to me to take an easy way out while still making their point. Why go further when they didn't need to? Smart. As you also noticed, OEMs were mentioned but not flagged so he certainly didn't cover anything up now did he? Where did you imagine that?

If you think I will allow you to blatantly misrepresent was I said you are dead wrong...once again YOU are the one who alleged it was done intentionally...to avoid lawsuits.. I am the one who pointed out to YOU that OEM's were mentioned and linked to to debunk your dumbass theory. This is your final warning. I will not stand for lying.

I have no dog in this fight fenderman.

And thanks for your input John. Much appreciated and my apologies for being goaded into speculation by fenderman. If I was accusing you of anything it was of possibly being cautious not partial. If there was a lack of clarity I'll blame it on essentially point form notes poked quickly into my phone while doing other things. For that I also apologize to you because it seems that it could be misconstrued as malicious.

You are done here...The last straw was your latest LIE after I warned you!
"Much appreciated and my apologies for being goaded into speculation by fenderman." that is a complete LIE, YOU are the one who speculated before I said anything. I will not allow you to act like an idiot here.

when it took time and effort to remove them
That's incorrect. It is the opposite case, it would take time and effort to add them. Even internally, we did not have the OEMs mapped out. My concern was labeling and sorting out the various OEMs by brands on a map.

Moreover, as I have said on IPVM multiple times, if one is going to use Hikvision, I recommend buying Hikvision branded products since the OEMs have delays in getting fixes and often hide their affiliation making risks harder to tell.

Moreover, we have been critical of Hikvision OEMs in that regard, e.g., ADI Refuses to Fix Their OEM'd Hikvision Security Risks [Solved] and Interlogix Vs Hikvision Tested

We only have a few cctv installers in my town the big selling point they will say is you can watch on your phone.
I will give them a ring today and ask them about a system and how they hook up to the net so I can view on my phone or from work
I wonder if VPN is mentioned.
