both dahua and hik have good and bad cameras. The sweet spot is 4mp cams with a 1/1.8" sensor. Both brands have them.

Nice, I'll have to look into that, I'm assuming it's just an upgraded version of the starlight varifocal turret.

no they are not varifocal. If you want varifocal you will need to go to bullet format.
