Is my WD Purple shot? (see S.M.A.R.T.)

I've had multiple computer system shutdowns/freezes that past few days. Decided to look a bit more closely at the hard drive WD Purple 6TB.

Can't find squat in the system error logs, it's the non-specific blue screen "hardware error", doesn't save a dump.

Notwithstanding the WD claim of "up to 1 million hour MTBF", I've got 20,000 hours...

I suppose I could try to reformat? It does have the default smaller sectors. I would use larger sectors if reformatting.

Another strange quirk I noticed lately is recording times. For the same camera, it will alternate between about 44 minutes and 15 minutes (continuous record). It does this for all of my cams.

Tried to have all the relevant info asked for ahead of time...

I think this is where it shows # clips? 2587?

It's looking decidedly shaky, lots of error sectors. These will likely just grow over time until there is a hard fail.
Best to replace while it's still partly working.
Reformatting won't achieve anything the drive firmware hasn't already tried to do.

I would change it out. Those numbers are only going to get worse. Reformatting will mark those sectors bad, but will not prevent new ones from forming elsewhere.
