Is the regime in Iran soon to be toast?

I can't find it now, but I'm pretty sure I heard Trump mention recently that maybe oil shouldn't get too much cheaper... after all, don't the oil companies that support him make more money when the price is higher?

So lower is better for the midterms, but higher is better for his oil buddies...

Whitehouse, Warren Demand Answers About Big Oil’s Massive Windfall Profits as Americans Face Skyrocketing Gas Prices

27 oil and gas companies on track to rake in over $40 billion in first quarter; Gas prices up by as much as 52 percent since Iran War began

On February 28, 2026, the Trump Administration launched a military campaign in Iran without congressional authorization. Predictably, Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz and global oil supply drastically decreased. Gas prices spiked, allowing 27 oil and gas companies to rake in over $40 billion in profit in the first quarter of 2026. Adjusted earnings for oil giants Shell and BP doubled from the last quarter of 2025 to the first quarter of this year.

“The opportunity to profit from high oil prices did not occur in a political vacuum,” the Senators continued. In an April 2024 private dinner at Mar-a-Lago, then-candidate Trump solicited $1 billion from fossil fuel executives, promising to roll back environmental regulations, issue desired permits, and expand drilling opportunities. Earlier this year, Trump ordered the U.S. military to capture Venezuelan regime leader Nicolás Maduro, providing new opportunities for U.S. oil companies like Chevron.

recall during the Pandemic Putin forced Trump to stick it to many USA frackers when the oil hit negative numbers ..

Truth is at that time USA should have filled up the SPR to the max and buy out all the shadow fleet .. oh well, someone else profited instead of the USA Bag Holding Tax Payers ..

yup, then again not like the folks in the White House have been the epitome of class ..

guess Qatar is a bit pissed about becoming one of the punching bags of Tehran in this bar brawl when all it wanted to do was play the game and count chips

Google refused so far to give me a good image .. so here's one from ChatGPT :

The Saudi U-Turn on Iran No One’s Talking About

Months ago, Saudi Arabia was privately pushing Trump toward war with Iran. Now Riyadh is reportedly helping guarantee Iran’s frozen funds get released. We trace the reversal — from MBS’s phone calls urging strikes, to the $12 billion Qatar-Saudi financial mechanism, to the Pakistan-Saudi defense pact reshaping Gulf security away from Washington. A Sunni power bankrolling its biggest Shia rival isn’t an accident. It’s a transaction.

I'm not saying it's not speculation or that this is "proof", but the same information is reported other places like here...

Trump a few months back

The middle east is done with Trump and the USA. The US couldn't protect them.

Seeing the reality of USA not being able to control the rabid ally, which wants to carve out middle east for itself. Virtually every muslim country out there knows the enemy is not Iran.

They are all arming themselves with Chinese arms including Chinese fighter jets to name a few Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, Bangladesh all have placed orders for Chinese J10 that is able to fire the worlds longest range air to air missile guided by satellite or Awacs. None of the Nato countries have this capability.

A Muslim NATO style agreement is not a if anymore. It's happening with Pakistan nukes and Chinese aircraft.

The fact that Iran makes their own military hardware which was able to knock down virtually every THAAD site, means Saudi and other Arab nations know they can't fuck with Iran.

When the rabid ally eventually attacks Saudi and Egypt because it's was promised to them. Only Iran had the balls to take on a super power and a rabid ally. So they need Iran.

The only other Muslim nation that makes their own weapons is Turkey which will be supplying their own F22 inspired stealth jets for export to Arab nations and the Muslim world. Hell even Zelensky is interested in it.

Some good points made here ..

John Bolton: The Real Reason Why Trump's Iran War Became Such a Disaster

In this video, John Bolton discusses the systemic failures in decision-making during the first Trump administration regarding Iran, specifically focusing on the breakdown of the National Security Council (NSC) process.

Key takeaways:

  • Failure of Political Planning: Bolton distinguishes between the Pentagon's military preparedness—which he describes as robust and well-planned (0:42-1:04)—and the political planning process, which he argues was virtually non-existent (1:06-1:08).
  • Transactional Decision-Making: He characterizes Donald Trump as a non-systematic, "transactional" decision-maker who disregards the formal NSC process intended to provide presidents with balanced options and expert analysis (1:14-2:06).
  • Structural Weaknesses: The administration suffered from a reduced NSC staff and the consolidation of roles (like the Secretary of State also serving as National Security Adviser), which led to incoherent strategies (2:46-3:18).
  • Avoiding Constructive Conflict: Bolton notes that effective administrations benefit from senior advisers debating policy to avoid disaster. In contrast, the Trump administration's tendency to avoid such processes and rely on one-man decision-making created an environment where people distanced themselves from looming failures (3:36-4:24).
  • Conclusion: Bolton argues that these formal processes—consulting intelligence and experts—are not bureaucratic hurdles, but essential safeguards that prevent leaders from making decisions on a whim (4:24-4:34).
