Is this the only way to run a live view monitor of my CCTV home system?

Hey
I am setting up my home CCTV system. The NVR is a computer running blue-iris. I made the PC smaller then your regular PC case size just for CCTV but its not small enough to fit onto a shelf where we want the live view monitor. ( Our walk in butlers pantry )

The only way at the moment I can think of doing this is running a very long vga cable through the roof of the house and back down to the PC in the study or garage

Is there any way get a live view monitor over the network without the need of another PC near the monitor

Unless a I buy an all in one monitor PC but that would probably not be worth the cost vs running a long vga cable

I know you can setup remote access on your phone or tablet but I preferred something where I can just walk into the pantry and check it without finding my tablet or phone

Smart TV over cat6 sounds easy and cheap. I can easily run a cat6 cable to the monitor. Hopefully the monitor supports it though.

Ill look into that but if you know anything about it im listening. THanks
