Is UV damage to the casing of the camera a concern?

I have my cameras mounted where it is hit by direct sunlight all afternoon. Since the camera casing is plastic, is it susceptible to UV damage, discoloration, becoming brittle? If so, what can be done to prevent it.

I have have 2 each of DS-2CD2532 and DS-2CD2032.

I have have 2 each of DS-2CD2532 and DS-2CD2032.

The housing on both of those is metal...they will be just fine outdoors..they are designed for that purpose.
