Is UV damage to the casing of the camera a concern?

I have my cameras mounted where it is hit by direct sunlight all afternoon. Since the camera casing is plastic, is it susceptible to UV damage, discoloration, becoming brittle? If so, what can be done to prevent it.

I wouldnt worry about it..what camera is it?
