Just ordered the IPC-HDW4431C-A

I was just reading dahua's spec sheet, not a 3rd party calculator..

the spec sheets are not always exactly right on the FOV, but they are usually as good as your going to get unless you do the math your self.

it could also depend on settings, on my 4431 @ 2592x1520 is wider than the default @ 2560x1440

Is there a mounting bracket available for these cams?

This forum is awesome for info as long as you do the searching for answers yourself. Some of the older crowd here will jump all over/be very condescending if you ask too many newb questions. I got started here too, have fun...good luck!

I guess you could make the case for the OLD TIMERs launching a few shots at the newBEEs questions..BUT ..its usually the case of the newBEEs not reading the FAQ's or STickys or searching the database of topics here. The answers or opinions are usually at your finger tips. That being said, most here are VERY friendly and really like to help. I have learned a TON of stuff here and perhaps helped out a few with my limited knowledge of the installs I did.

So...here it is. Not sure if this camera will stay there...

It's supposed to be a 1/3" sensor...but I have to choose 1/2.8" on The IPVM calculator to be as close as what I see. Correct me if something else is wrong.... :)

Will it do what you need?

Sure ! I planned to install at least two. But maybe this one will go in front and order another one with a wider lens to put instead.
Just need to adjust the image to my liking now...correct some little bugs I still have.

Have you succeeded with Blue Iris ? I bought it...the Android App too. And I'm not sure my problem is with settings in the cam or BI.

Little trouble with "ghosting", it's actually a lot worse during the day.

I only activated "Face detection" in the cam and it didn't worked with this example. I'll try during the day.

lower 3DNR, I keep mine ~33-45%.. also set your iframe to your fps

facial detection isint going to work outside at those distances, you want a head-height camera to use it.

Ok for this one, I see more pixel dancing but I know it's more detailed this way too.

And for stream itself:

To be continued.....

thats called noise, and less noise the more detail.. its caused by lack of light, noise reduction is a bandaid that can only go so far.. more light is the real answer.

try a different version of the h.264 enocode mode. If using blue iris also increase the receive buffer in blue iris video>config to 20mb.

Hello people!
Just want to share with you some examples with 0%, 50%, and 100% WDR.
Snapshots from the camera interface at 4092 kbps VBR Quality 6(best).

TRYING TO UPLOAD 3 .PNG (~6.5MB each) and I can't (Forum limitation?) The two last pictures automatically convert into JPEGS.
-UPDATE- Finally put 3 jpegs... :)

must be a Quebec thing to put your underwear on a WebCam.. :P

the WDR on these cameras is great, so much better than DWDR..
