Based on your post, I updated and have no problems that I can see. Can you be more specific about what has changed?
Sorry to be late, but in principal CVE-2021-33044, CVE-2021-33045 ;)

It mighta gone back to factory default 192.168.1.108?
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

So I found out the issue. I ran a continuous ping and saw that it would reply for a bit, then go offline for a bit. Come back online, go offline. Like it was stuck in a reboot loop. At any rate, I used the Dahua config tool to wipe it to factory. To do that, I kept hitting the search button about a million times until the camera showed up during its brief time online. Next I went to the System Settings tab, selected the camera and clicked the button to restore to factory settings. I had to click the button another million times until I caught the camera exactly at the right time to send the wipe command. Once it said it succeeded even though it didnt and so I had to start all over again. I finally got it and it then was on the default IP. I reconfigured the camera and it's been solid ever since.

I maybe be pressiing the reset button tomorrow, on the 2231 ZS. I think I clicked on something in the NVR's cam web gui, and now the other camera is cloned in BI, but ok in the NVR....but the ports are opposite. Bi shows the Dodge SUV at both port 192,168.1.207:10080 and 10081Screenshot 2021-10-12 182526.png

Is this still the latest firmware or is there a newer version in another thread? 2.800.0000018.0.R, Build Date: 2021-07-07 has been rock solid but if there's anything newer for my cameras I will try it.

Hey, I know this is a bit of an old thread, but I noticed this version doesn't have IVS or Face detection. Is there a reason this was removed? What's the recommendation around it?

Hi, am i wrong or the latest firmware for the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE is the DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000029.0.R.221220 ??
(new features are Auto registration supports redirection, There is time synchronization information in logs when timing by NTP, ONVIF
and private protocol, Records the IP address of the client that restarts the device and Supports entering special characters in RTMP custom address).

Is there a reason why latest advised update seems to be on IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707 ??

Now i'm on V2.800.0000013.0.R so i think i shoud update directly to a newer version.....

Thanks

My HDW5231R-Z's are still on IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707
One is running OK, the other one was running OK but is now in some kind of a bootloop (not because of the upgrade).
I've found 221220 on the dahuasecurity.com website as well, I'm interested too. The firmware was reported earlier here:
This firmware train probably doesn't get much attention as it's considered as "old", with corresponding "old" camera's. The focus here is mainly on firmware for newer camera's unfortunately.

I've just upgraded my HDW5231R-Z from IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707 to IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000029.0.R.221220. Noticed some changes:
  • security baseline 2.0 (was in place since DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000026.0.R.220822)
  • fixed settings - camera - conditions - zoom and focus preview is working again

So far so good. Onvif working, surveillance station keeps recording.

Hopefully my (hidden?!) auto reboot on monday afternoon is fixed as well.

My IPC-HDW5231R-ZE is running V2.800.0000013.0.R, Build Date: 2019-12-02.
Newest firmware is V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707, will the camera's IVS still trigger on non humans/vehicles like it does now, or does the newer firmware screw that up?

I have this camera installed right next to a IPC-HDW5442T-ZE and the 5231 is basically only still there because it triggers on non humans/vehicles so I can spot hedgehogs, marters etc. and I don't want to lose that functionality.

Curious to ask if these triggers are being sent directly from the camera as a notification or is there an NVR/BI set up doing that for you?

Just triggers for the camera to record on the build-in SD-card. I also record 24/7 on a NVR and so also triggers on the 24/7 timeline.

I rarely use camera notifications on my phone.

My HDW5442T-ZE is triggered by cats and hedgehogs with firmware version from dahuasecurity.com DH_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.840.0000000.25.R.230425
Which version are you using on yours?
Maybe it has to do with the settings;
- settings - video detection - area - threshold (mine is 4) & sensitivity (mine is 65)
Check the other regions too, if applicable. Check period is set to all (or what you need).

FYI, I have on my HDW5231R-Z V2.800.0000029.0.R.221220 installed.

One 5442ZE is running V2.840.15OG00D.0.R, Build Date: 2022-08-18. Yesterday I installed a new 5442ZE S3 version with V3.100.0000000.5.R, Build Date: 2023-05-09.
They are both installed next to the 5231R-ZE. But we haven't had animals last night so I can't comment on that.

Ah, here we have a difference, I'm using IVS (tripwire) so motion detection is not enabled on mine, mostly because IVS is supposedly better at ignoring things like shadows, leaves etc.
IVS has a setting called "target filter" where you can choose 'human' and/or 'motor vehicle' so it will only trigger on those.
But you can uncheck "target filter" so I should also trigger on other things (like animals), however; it never does.

There's a whole thread about it: Detecting wildlife with Dahua cameras
But Dahua doesn't seem to care to fix it.
