This works fine, have been running it since it came. The reporting function in the AI section is new (right?). A new "report" Traffic intensity, is new. Don't know to what it's compatible to though.DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.002.0000000.2.R.220120 available on Dahua website
Dahua doesn't push every update, they only when there critical updates etc.
If you are not lacking specific features or have specific reasons there are no reason to update.
If you don't pay attention there is also a risk of bricking your equipment or loosing your settings. If you use genuine hardware and use correct update files the risk is of course minimal, but still, don't jump on every update unless you're willing to risk your settings/bricking your unit.
If you still want to update I can share the update with you.
Just a FYI, the new version is not a game changer
I am running the DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.002.0000000.2.R.220120 firmware from Dahua download site - Firmwares on my NVR52XX 2017 model ..
So far no issue with NVR itself but I am having issue with DMSS app connecting to my live camera. I have to keep hitting the refresh icon to get camera to show up on my DMSS live screen. This issue started like a week ago or so before I updated to this firmware so it's not the firmware. I was hoping it would fix it but it didn't so I am thinking either something changed in my ISP blocking traffic or something like that ..
Yes, 2018 is still 3.0 version, now the NVR all use AI version. Can roll back, but have to check what is your firstly firmware version. Lots of the old fw deleted, so not esay to find them.I, too have been running DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.002.0000000.2.R.220120 on my NVR52A16-4KS2 model from 2018. This version seems to have the "third-party camera naming issue" people spoke about on earlier versions. Changing the name of these non-Dahua cams in the NVR wont stay. When hitting refresh, the cam name reverts to "Channelxx".
When trying older firmware, I get "Update Failed". Same result when trying to downgrade firmware via the Config Tool, USB drive directly on the NVR, or the Web GUI using IE. I tried many different firmware, and it all returns "Update Failed". The only firmware that works is updating using the current firmware. It seems this cannot be rolled back I'm guessing?

Could you tell me where you could download DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.002.0000000.2.R.220120 ?
In the link Firmwares
I could find only DH_NVR5XXX-I_MultiLang_V4.002.0000000.1.R.220211 firmware but it is only for AI NVRs because in the description it is mentioned:

it would had been from the Dauha firmware site where I went to copied the firmware's filename to pasted it in my previous post.
After seeing your post, I went back and I don't see it on there anymore. I guess the Dauha took it down?
It was in the Dauha download area because I wouldn't even bother to type the whole firmware filename out when I can just copy and paste it in a post. I am just too lazy for this so obviously they took it down or rename it to the "I / IL" models? I don't know but @EMPIRETECANDY may know something about it.
