Laview LV-KN988P84A4 NVR setup issues

I am generally pretty good at setting things up when it comes to the modem/router area. But for the life of me i am unable to get the NVR to connect to outside the house.
Current set up
Netgear modem cm600 (on comcast, my modem has little to none configuration options)
Netgear r7000 router
one tp-link 5 port switch (nvr is not on this) that i use because not enough ports on router.

Under general i have enable DHCP checked . It has ip addresses and everything looks right.
platform access i have enabled access type is laview P2P (only choice), went to canyouseeme and in server address put my external ip address. (status still says offline)
PPPOE is disabled
DDNS is disabled

NAT is enabled UPnP mapping type auto
here it also shows my external ip address under all the different settings (http port , rtsp port, server port and so on) and says UPnP status is active.
I have changed some of the ports and went into my router and forwarded the port range. (double checked that i am forwarding them on the correct internal ip address)


But i am still unable to get this to work. So my question to the more knowledgeable people is.. What am i missing?
 
Did you get it to work? I had to open three single ports (set up custom services) to get mine to work and then wait a bit for the DDNS to process, then it worked fine.

To a point ..Yes i got it working.. The android app is working .. but now i can't seem to be able to log into the nvr by webpage from anywhere.

no i did not set a static ip. Not sure what i did. Prior to today if i typed in my ip address. it would bring up the laview login page.. Now today its just bringing up my router login (inside the network) and outside I am just trying to log into it on my laptop using my phone hotspot and it just times out. But i could just be trying to do it wrong. Only had the nvr set for a day.. Had one wireless on it till today and now i got 3 of the other 4 cameras set up and working.. Still have one more to go.
 
Ok, your router IP and the Laview Ip will be different. If you didn't set the Laview to have a static IP, and you rebooted it, it could be anything within the IP range of your router. Just log in to your router and look at your connected devices, figure out the IP of your Laview and then type that into a browser. You should be able to log in to your Laview at that point. Then go into the Laview configuration and set a static IP for it so you always know what that IP is (when you are inside your network).

If you are trying outside your network, then it's a bit more difficult unless you have an ISP that provides you with a static IP. Most people's IP's will change relatively often. I have tried quite a few different things. I am unable to log into the nvr inside or outside my network. Not sure what i have done or not done correctly . I have email notifications working. I can view all my cameras remotely from anywhere through the IVMS-4500 app. But just no luck on logging into the nvr at all. Tried setting up the ddns but as you will see in the picture it says it failed to connect and looking at the router and the nvr i know that http://192.168.1.19/ is the ip address assigned to the nvr. But when i put that into a web browser i get This webpage is not available

ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

what ip address are you using to try and set the the NVR?

I promise i really am not dumb.. But i do not understand the question.. Server inside ip is set to 192.186.1.19. Is there a place that i am missing that i should be setting it up for access? Under platform access .. It has my external ip

No, my question is what are you typing into the browser?
Also unrelated to your internal issue, but to assist in future external access, change the primary dns to 8.8.8.8

I am typing 192.186.1.19 into the browser when at home and typing the external ip address when outside.

192.168.1.1
I know nat is disabled on the nvr .. Will have to check upnp when i get home. I can remote access computers at home and check router settings and such.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for all your help. I am not sure if the dns setting you gave , or the video is what solved my problems but .. I changed the dns to 8.8.8.8 and i think i might have been overly focused on changing everything i possibly could to make sure the system was secure. I went back in and changed the http and rtsp ports back to the what the video was showing (and i think was default for the nvr ) and now everything is working exactly as it should.

Great. Well if your http port was anything other than 80 before changing it back, that was your problem. You need to enter the http port after the ip when using a browser. So it would be 192.168.1.19:XXXX where XXXX is your http port.

Then that is what the issue was. One more question if you do not mind.. How do i get the NVR to log the motion detections in the playback time line? If that is even possible.

Like all hikvision nvrs, if you are recording 24/7 it will only display motion events in the timeline from the nvr interface, not the web interface. If you are recording motion only it will display properly.
 
Hello folks, I am having similar issues with this model. I am able to view from my phone both remotely and on the home network. My issue is viewing on my browser. I put the IP address of the NVR in my browser when on the home network. I see a camera icon in the tab of the browser but nothing actually gets loaded onto the page itself. I tried both firefox and internet explorer. Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.
 
I found out what the issue was. I changed Port 80 to Port 81. Fenderman addressed this issue in an earlier post in this thread.
