Less sight?

So i bought the Hikvision Hikvision DS-2CD2010F-I 4mm lens, there were some problems so I upgraded the firmware to the latest firmware i could find from hikvisioneurope.com everything went fine until i noticed there is less sight? Before the upgrade i could see alot more. I have been told that i installed the 2mm firmware on a 4mm camera, could this be the issue or is it something else? Also i searched and couldn't find 4mm firmware for the camera.

The firmware is the same regardless of lens size..whoever told you that is an idiot.
you need to explain what less sight means.
