LifeCam Studio live preview working, won't record, device not connected?

Release 4.8.4.3 x64

Other 3 cameras working perfectly, this is the only USB camera. I've verified framerate in the driver and max framerate are both at 30,

In the log file, it shows motion detected, then "1 12/6/2018 12:58:10 PM Cam2 Signal: Device not connected "

Spent considerable time searching for a solution. I realize this particular camera isn't the best of choices, but it is all I have and I need to catch the mailperson skipping delivery every other day at my apartments. Postmaster doesn't believe me so I need proof asap.

Disable hardware acceleration for that camera

Tried that, didn't help, although the error is no longer showing in the log file. Direct to disc recording.
When I click on the image, error file could not be found:

Disable direct to disc recording... It's not applicable to these USB cams.
