Hello guys,

is it possible to limit the recording for maybe only 72h?
After 72h the recording should override the old one! Which NVR option can handle this?

This is a term from the work council inside the company!

Regards Bastian

A couple of ideas, on the basis that the cameras are recording on a fixed bitrate (CBR) so that the rate of space usage is somewhat predictable:

Just install a small HDD, sized for the 72h requirement.

For a Hikvision NVR.
I have to admit - I've never tried this, but it appears to be theoretically possible, via the HDMI/VGA interface.
Each camera can be assigned a storage quota for video and picture, which should limit how far back playback can be done.

Thank you - but it's not possible to limit the recoding space by drop down menu.
