Line crossing detection doesn't work

I have managed to get my Hikvision cameras to email me for motion detection

However as most of you know you get so many false alarms its pointless for outdoor use

I have set up line crossing detection instead and cannot for the life of me get it to work or to trigger an email

I followed advice in this thread and it does not work for me

Has anyone any pointers please

All i want is when someone crosses the driveway threshold I get an email

I have a 7604 Ni and 3 Hik cameras

any advice appreciated

It's not as daft as not ticking the email me box is it?

nope wish it was! , got it enabled in both NVR and camera and no worky , really frustrated with it

Motion detection works fine , email every time , line crossing with motion disabled simply doesnt work

I had issue with line crossing on both my Hik and Dahua cameras when if I placed the line too close to the side of the view, the camera didn't always have enough time to detect the object (put the green tracking box around it) before it crossed the line.

I ended up using Intrusion Detection instead.
