I have the line detection hikvision DS-7616NI-E2 (V 3.4.90) with Cam DS-2CD2332-I (V 5.4.0) established in the outside area
The sensitivity I have on very low (2).
The direction is from A to B.
If the area becomes darker or lighter, an alarm is generated.
This should not be true.
No matter what I set, an alarm is always triggered when the brightness changes altogether.
There was realy no movement from A to B.

Does the new firmware improve?

Is there a trick to preventing it?

Greetings.

wow!
Just sent it.
Thanks.

When the lights come on in this room, there's an alarm.
Why the direction recognition, if it is not evaluated correctly.

I'm interested to know if other hikvision-Cams have the same problem.

you are surprised that pixel based motion detection does not work correctly on a 100 dollar camera? The mirror in the background may have something to do with it as well.

Yeah, I'm surprised.
Since I couldn't imagine a company like hikvision praising a performance in the cameras, but this function doesn't work properly.
Sure, as a rookie, I'm naive from your point of view.
I also don't have the money for cameras you or others buy.
As a customer, I have to be able to rely on the manufacturer's statements.
Otherwise, it is a shortcoming that hikvision should know.

I did not find any discussions on this topic here in the forum.
Looks like they're all over it.

I would like to know from other owners of "100 dollar" cameras if they have had the same experiences.
Then I would write to hikvision.

Thank you very much.

Thanks for the advice.
You're probably right.

Unfortunately, my English is not so good that I interpret everything correctly.
I have to use the translator a lot.
This is very difficult with the search results.

Well, of course, I have searched before the post office and also found contributions to line detection.
Without a hint to my particular problem.

I have 6 cameras on a hikvision DS-7616NI-E2 (V 3.4.90) and everyone has the problem.
It's not about mirrors or moving things.
This is clearly due to the change in overall brightness.

For example, if a camera with line detection is installed in a dark room and the light is turned on, then there is an alarm.
The light spreads at the speed of light.
So there's light on the A and B sides at the same time.
So there is no movement from A to B.
So there can be no alarm.

Please, can someone check this out?

Thank you very much.

I realize this is just FYI, and no help for somebody committed to Hikvision hardware. I have several different Dahua models and line crossing works great on all of them, including the sub-$100 Chinese market cameras with hacked English firmware. They are outdoors and the biggest problem I have is false triggers due to cloud shadows, and it's not a very big problem.
