And NoloC is correct. I have 2 indoor Alerts, but you can use the powerline adapter for other IP cameras. I have a Hikvision cube running thru a Logitech adapter. I do not know how much power it supplies though, I could not find any specification sheet for the adapter. The adapters are Homeplug AV 1.0, so you'd have to make sure the camera bandwidth does not exceed the adapter specifications. Comtrend also makes a powerline adapter that supplies POE, the only manufacturer I have found to date that has this. It would be a cleaner setup than a powerline adapter and a POE injector. Please note the Comtrend adapter is for indoor use only, so you'd have to use a flat network cable, probably running thru a window, to your outdoor camera. All of the Logitech stuff has been end of life for some time. I've read reviews that the Comtrend units don't get along well with other brands of powerline adapters on the same circuit, so be cautioned that starting down this path may force you to upgrade multiple adapters to get all of your cameras working. If you reach that point, you would be better off starting to migrate to a current POE switch/IP camera platform. I completely understand the allure of the Alert systems and the ease of the plug and play, and the investment made if you purchased when this system was in its prime.
