LOST password on Dahua nvr4108-8P-4ks2/L

Hi,

I found this cheap at a garage sale and took a risk.

Is there any way to erase the existing password or discover the existing password?

Crack it open there's probably a reset button inside it.

You've only won the auction for it 10 hours ago..... wait for the seller to ship it to you first . (That seller is fairly quick in my experience with them).

It says you'll need a power supply in the description. That is the expensive bit!
Maybe find a cheap used POE switch you can use it's 48v 2A PSU. Or brand new PBTech has a MikroTik 48V 2A PSU at $91 but it probably won't have the right power connector.

Hi, I did not solve it because the output for the monitor appears to be broken

I think I will get a new 4108HS instead

Dumb question(s) :
Both the VGA and HDMI outputs?
And what about LAN access to the web GUI - does the device show up on your router device list / does the link detect LED show a connection on whatever (router / switch) you've connected it up to / can you see it on the Config tool?
