Malibu Fires

This is the 3rd or 4th video/story I’ve seen of arsonists being captured on video and ignored or released by Police…???

Great video but WTF with that PTZ operator? Are they smokin' crack?
Maybe they're doing it from a phone which might be understandable......no fine control.

They should have hosed that MF-er down. Probably would have done him a favor to wash the stank off.

Okay then....let's send them the bill for tax payer dollars spend due to their misdeeds. I think they owe the tax payer some money even after helping out with the fires.

The moment you are reminded the reason that you don't care if celebrity homes burn to the ground.

Generally, the fires go uphill. Once they get to the top, they usually don’t keep going. I know this time there was an area on the flats that got burnt, but almost all of these fires were on hilly areas.

The areas you’re hearing about, Malibu and Pacific Pallisades, are both built on cliffs that go from the sea up a small mountain range. The fires start at the road at the bottom of the cliff and just keep burning towards the top. Unfortunately, that’s where the view lots are.

Yes, terrain makes a difference, and a fire going uphill will pre-heat the fuels ahead of it, making for more intense flames. It's even worse in draws and chimneys. As I learned it, "fire goes where water flows".

That said, for this fire, as with most, the winds seem to be the predominant factor in the spread.

The predominant factor of the spread was: A) Arsonists, (quite likely liberal oriented ones) and B) Gross incompetence and DEI policy's on the part of many if not most government leaders in LA County
