Got some history there.
My uncle gave me this book written by his uncle, who I’d never met, about being captured, and surviving the Bataan death march, then being sent as slave labor to the rice fields of Japan.
He wrote about them seeing one of the nukes go off on the horizon and everyone thought the world was ending because nobody had ever heard of an atomic bomb at that point.
