Hi,

Every few weeks, Milestone loses connections to some of my cameras. Inevitably, it is because the server froze and required a hard reboot. Everything is fine after a hard reboot.

What might the problem be? Is there a way for me to reboot the server remotely? Is is Dell Server running Windows 7.

Sometimes the problem is resolved by rebooting the switch.

There are power outlets that will allow you remote reboot and even some that will reboot if it cant get a ping...but I would try to solve the underlying issue if the server is actually freezing...murphy's law says it will freeze just before an important event.

if rebooting the switch sometimes fixes it and its only some cameras; chances are high your cabling is faulty.
