Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Try with other power supply, i guess that camera doesn't have enough power to move around.

Its connected to a DS-7608NI-K2/8P with 8 channel POE, 7 cameras in total, just the one PTZ. Should I try removing all the other cameras and try the ptz on each port?

Ok so I tried it without all the other cameras, I tried various ports but it’s still the same. I’m going to take it off the mount, I have other POE switches I can try and I can open it and see if there’s anything mechanically broken.

I have it down now, I have tried it on another poe switch. Also tried a 12v psu, it powers up, I see the zoom move but pan and tilt don’t attempt to move at all, the tilt axis goes tight under power but pan can be moved freely at all times, tilt is free without power. The belts look ok and mechanically everything looks fine.
There’s LEDs inside on the board, LED1 is solid red, LED2 is flashing red.

I’m out of ideas again now.

It would seem that the power surge from power coming back on may have broken your camera. This is how my analog ptz fried just last month when the power came back on after a storm.

Gutted, I have contacted Hikvision UK support to ask if it can be repaired, I don't suppose it's possible to buy replacement boards.

I hope it works out for you. Unlike others here, I actually love (loved) having a ptz for almost 10 years and I give them a thumbs up when people have asked. I also agree that static cameras well placed are better and more important than relying on a ptz. But man, since mine fried I really miss it. I hardly moved it but I had it programmed to respond in cool ways and when I wanted or needed that ptz reach it sure was great. Not sure I will get another one. With Andy's help I'm buying and redoing everything for an great upgrade system wide.

Best of luck with getting that ptz up and running.

Thanks, it has been good, it provides an alternative angle to another fixed camera and has been very handy being able to move to other positions, especially when viewing remotely.

Sadly Hikvision UK support replied and just said to go back to the supplier, but it was purchased from an Aliexpress seller, it’s a WR camera with English firmware, but sending it back to China isn’t practical.

Is there anywhere else that will offer repair on cameras not purchased from themselves?

Ptz, TV's, dash cams, vacuum cleaners, on and on and on. Disposable gadgets that you have to know going in- when it breaks you don't fix them, you buy new. A sad sad situation indeed. Bet as much as you can afford to lose. And when it comes to power surges, take it seriously. Sometimes it happens momentarily and there's not much you can do. But when there's time to respond, anything that isn't protected pull the plug and put it back n after the surge of power instantly returns. Sorry for your loss.

I'm looking for the great hikvision specialist. I've tried almost everything.
Anybody know where i can set the time between stop auto tracking and back to start position?
Its 5 seconds here now and i like it maybe 30 seconds.
Please help me...
