Hi All,

I have hooked up a powered mic to my DS-2CD2132F-IS, went to enable in settings, and the option is not there. Under Advanced -> Video/Audio -> , I only see "Video", "ROI", and "Display Info On Stream" tabs. Anyone have any ideas? Do I need a different firmware?

Kind Regards,
Cody

That is strange..first thing is to clear the browser of the plugin and try reinstalling it...or try another browser..
if that doesnt work, try pushing the 5.2.5 firmware again via tftp....read the threads on this subject so you dont brick your camera.

Well, I tried flashing the firmware again , resetting to default settings, using different computer, different browsers. any other ideas?

Maybe it's a DS-2CD2132F-I ? Have you checked in SADP?

It does show "DS-2CD2132F-IS" in SADP.

Someone had recommended running the SSH command cat /proc/kmsg which provided the following.. He also recommended as karmadhi that it is probably faulty camera.

i know this problem and you got no chance to fix it, thats why you need to return to the seller. they hacked the firmware and put the wrong s/n there, that's why it's not working on audio.

I believe that's correct - the fragment above suggests that the Linux kernel finds no real audio hardware in the environment.
