missing toolbar on top of BI4 screen

I purchased and loaded the BI4 software and added all cameras and everything is working fine. then I rebooted the computer and now only the video cameras show on the screen, no toolbar/menu at the top or clips on the right side bar. I can right click on each camera and go into the settings.
I am running windows 7 Pro, 64 bit

Can so see the timeline on the bottom? if not, right click in any black are on the screen and uncheck "maximize frame" or just press Esc
