tinyCam Monitor has low performance on x86 Android devices like Nexus Player. This is because of Android 6.0 feature/bug which does not allow running ffmpeg library (h264 decoder) on x86 devices with assembly optimization.

There is no such issue on ARM devices like NVIDIA SHIELD.
Hrmmm I been meaning to get Nexus for my office, maybe instead I'll take my current Nexus from our living room and replace it with a Shield.

What about the Amazon FireTV? Same bug?

Fire TVs should work perfectly. They are all ARM based.

Yeah it came down to the Nvidia Shield or a Dahua NVR, went with the NVR.. glad I did, I might still pick up a shield.. just cant justify the cost for a streaming box unless I had a 4K tv.

Amazon's Android can just burn in hell for all I care, they are hostile to to the ecosystem IMHO.. they refuse to allow Amazon Prime Video on any android not Amazon branded, then they kick all Android STB's out of the market that dont support Prime Video, like its there fault.
