MV-22B Osprey Crash

I've heard bad things about the Osprey, but I don't know enough to have an opinion.

That said, helicopters are reliable enough, but maybe not as fuel efficient or something? They might be about a hundred MPH or so slower too. Similar payloads it seems.

Was there a need to fill the space between helicopter and jet?

The harrier always looks sketch to me. The moment before landing seems like a lot of ground effect causing chaos, so the plane just drops the last few feet to be done with it.

Great pics! Thank you for posting them!
Not Ospreys but a couple of good ones. I wish I would have had the phone camera that I have now.

Use to love flying in 53's...pure luxury compared to 46's! 46's were 'shake, rattle and roll'. :) plus the 'occasional' hydraulic fluid on the ramp...

Still any of them beat humping!

Until you have been close to one taking off you can't believe how much air that it moves! We were testing the grounding points that they attach the static discharge lines to so got some up close exposure!

We use to practice this when I was CAAT SNCOIC, WPNS Company, 3/3. Shit is DANGEROUS. The static electricity can kill you instantly. (not my picture) Wish I had taken some.
