The power inlets are so that I don't need UPS's under my desk!

Then I also have a rack in my garage, connected with 10G Fiber back to the main rack

That is the cleanest network closet I have ever seen. Here's my rat's nest:

Wow, what are you using all that for? I mean besides IP Cams?

Lots of stuff! That photo is of the "wiring cabinet" in this diagram:

Thats really nice. I just did a system at work with 5 switches, I wasen't sure if it would work, but it works great. I see you have 5 or 6 too

Fiber for cameras means no PoE, so you'd have to run two cables

You need 48 PoE ports in your garage? How many camera are you installing?

The thing is that 24 port switches are generally not installed in large quantities in commercial settings, its almost always 48 ports

For that reason, a used 48 port switch is often cheaper than the 24

Curious what power bridges you are using for the TVs? We are building a house soon and will be doing this also.

This: With This: Commercial Electric 1-Gang Blank Maxi Metal Wall Plate, White Textured-PMTW-B - The Home Depot

Just cut out the metal with a holesaw and mount in in there with a standard box, then just romex in the wall as usual

Is that IBM thing in the rack some kind of LTO tape drive?

Dual LTO5 tape library, holds a bunch of tapes and a robot moves them into the drives. Connects via SAS. Its a little old, but 1.5TB tapes that have a 40 year shelf live is handy. Plus I have a ton of tapes

An SRT3000RMXLA UPS, if they ever come back in stock for cheap

Then I can replace both of those UPS's with a single UPS, and its double conversion for extra cool points

They are about $1400 used, but I don't want to pay over around $500. Just gotta wait for the deal to come around

I like that Idea. I wish all of my networking stuff was in one clean central place.
