I have the Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2 /8P original firmware 3.4.95 build 170626 (to Hikvision = Grey Market)

Looking to upgrade to the latest and need to know if I am choosing from the right Hik location?

hikvision Europe Portal it shows 3.4.96 build 170921 then V4.1.10 build 171107

Do I install the versions one at a time or can I jump right to the V4.1.10?

I think I read that it is best to upgrade using a computer and HTML? Correct?? or USB at the NVR?

I also want to upgrade my cameras (4 in total), all have AAWR in serial number and are currently at V5.5.0 build 170725, there are two firmware upgrade above mine. Two cameras came with V5.5.0 installed.
Should I do one at a time or jump right to V5.5.3. build 171018 ?

Hopefully someone can make sense of my photos.

ThanX in advance.

any idea if any of the firmware will brick my NVR?
On the face of it - with the NI-I2 suffix and the CCRR in the serial number, the NVR should be upgradeable with the stock EN/ML firmware.
And your screenshots look like you're picking the correct firmware version, though a URL would provide a better check : DOWNLOAD PORTAL

Would it be best to step the firmware one at a time?
I've no experience of the 'NVR 4' firmware - but it's not as if you are many versions away from it.
Personally, as it's still quite new, and a major release, I'd leave it for while until they incorporate fixes for the accumulated problems.
Also, is it best to upgrade from HTML? rather than usb direct at the NVR?
I've never used the USB method - but I believe the web GUI provides the best validation.

ThanX Again Alastair.

I have done my cameras up to the newest V5.5.3

I just might stick it out a bit to see if there are issues with V4.1 I have yet to read about any.

I have the same NVR and it arrived with V3.4.95 last Dec I updated by installing each step to V4.1.10 using the USB method.

With the 4.0 GUI a first I hated it, but now I would not change back.

I decided to hold off on moving up to V4.1.10, I've been reading and it seems users have had corrupt user database issues and end up locked out.

Did you have any issue with the update?
