Brand new (not gray market, if this matters) Hikvision NVR and IP camera,
Camera model: DS-2CD2T55FWD-I5
NVR: DS-7604NI-E1/4P

Initially I was able to connect to the camera via the browser by changing my IP/Subnet to match that of the camera and connecting directly to the NVR port, I then changed the IP to one from my internal LAN and the SADP tool confirms the IP was changed. The problem is that I can no longer long into it via the browser, also the IP on the NVR shows it as 192.0.0.5 (IP of POE port possibly?) on plug and play, if I change to manual and put the new address I changed it to I lose connection to camera.

Any suggestions on how I can once again connect to the camera? Thanks in advance.

So checking SADP this morning it appears it has somehow reverted back to the POE IP of 192.0.0.5. Do I have to connect to a POE port on the NVR every time I want to access the camera?? Doesn't make sense to me.

Sorry, I don't have a Hikvision NVR (I use Blue Iris); all I can do is suggest you config NVR network settings as beginning on page 9 of the manual.
