Need solution for external alarm input based recording by Hikvision IP camera

I need a solution to trigger a external alarm based predefined duration recording using a Hikvision IP surveillance camera. The trigger alarm input will be provided by a PLC ( NO /NC ). The camera, after receiving the alarm input, will start the recording with a programmable duration and after this duration (2 to 5 minutes) it should be able to mail this recording clip to a predefined mail address The clip will be stored either in the SD card memory of the camera or in a definable location on a network PC. If clip can not be mailed then at least a alarm notification should be mailed.

How can this be achieved? Which model supports external input? is NVR required in this case? Urgent help would be highly appreciated.

Not that I've tried this - but there are quite a few posts on the topic - presumably either a camera itself with alarm I/O (NVR or NAS or SD destination) or an NVR itself with alarm I/O.
