Hey,

I have a tricky problem installing an IP camera.

I can access the camera with a browser (IE, Chrome) when the camera has a default/factory IP address. But when I change the IP address the browser can no longer find the camera and it does not respond to the ping command.
And yes, my computer's network settings have been changed correctly, so that's not the problem. In addition, the VMS software finds the camera, but does not allow you to add it.
I've configured the hundreds of cameras, but a similar problem has never been. I can't use the default/factory IP address in this case, I have to change it.

The camera model is TruVision 5605.

1) What is your router internal IP address
2) what is the PC IP address
3) what is the cameras default ip address
4) what IP address did you set the camera to.
5) How is the camera connect to the network, what type of hardware ?
6) in your router what is your DHCP IP range. ?
7) what browser are you using
8) what VMS software

I can't access the router now, so I can't say more about it.

But the camera's factory IP is 192,168. 1.70. I changed my computer's IP address to 192.168.1.99 and got inside the camera (on IE as well as Chrome). (Mask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.1.1 on both camera and computer) The intention was to change the IP address from 192.168.1.70 to> 10.160.125.5. Before to this, I changed my computer's IP address to 10.160.125.10. (Mask 255.255.255.192 gw: 10.160.125.1 on both the camera and the computer). Yes, the IP address change was successful. DHCP was not enabled.

The camera was connected to a computer using a PoE switch. The intention was to adjust the angle of view and install the camera, the recorder does not yet exist, it will come later. I tried with different browsers (ie, chrome, Firefox). Never before has there been a similar problem with Truvision cameras, nor with other manufacturers.
 
Can you ping the camera at the new address?
Does it show up in a network scan of that IP range?
 
I can't ping now because I don't currently have this camera. But I tried to ping the new IP address earlier but it didn't respond. The factory IP responded to the ping.
 
Well, that means the change in IP did not "take" in the camera. Maybe try a factory reset, using a reset button if the camera has one, to see if that helps.
 
At least according to the program (SADP tool) the IP address changed and the factory could no longer enter with the IP address. The camera has a reset button and I reset it to factory settings, but it didn't help. I guess that I must contact the manufacturer's technical support.
 
I think the problem is no router on the 10.160.125.x network so there is no gateway at 10.160.125.1. Do not define the gateway. In the PC or in the camera, static address only.
