Hi. I read the Cliff Notes 3 or 4 times and I am still confused about the network security suggestions.
I kinda understand the dual LAN setup for Blue Iris and I also understand the blocking of the Dahua camera’s IP/MAC address in my router firewall.
However, I am confused about the section called “LAN Security Suggestions” where it talks about VPN for inbound traffic. Is this still necessary if I do the dual LAN thing and use Google Remote Desktop for viewing the cameras off site?
Also, if I have no problems with anyone in the house accessing the cameras, do I need to worry about setting up a virtual LAN?
