I wanted to close the loop on this and say thanks to all for the responses.

I’ve ordered a Dell i7-8700 win10pro from eBay that should arrive next week for exclusive BI use.

Before now, I would’ve never looked at eBay for a pc.

I scored a Optiplex SFF I7-7700 8g, Win10PRO for $389 shipped, should arrive tomorrow.

I’m trying to set this up. Haven’t built a win 10 pro machine yet.

How do I load windows on the new SSD I installed? I thought it happened over the wire if there is no os.

Disregard. Found the bits here for win10. It picked up the license from my system.

What should I do for virus protection? In win7, I’ve used and have been happy with ms security essentials. Is that built into win10 and is it sufficient? Default settings ok?
