I just set up a refurb computer with BI5 for a friend. I installed a 4TB WD purple drive in it and files are stored on the drive (New Folder). I set the cut/combine to 1hr and 4GB. 7 cameras and all set to continuous recording. Whenever it goes to do the cut/combine each hour, the app freezes up. The clips are writing ok to the 4TB drive as I can see them populate in the new folder.

Has anybody experienced this?

It's a fresh install and I did use the guide for optimizations.

The issue turns out to be a pci sata card i installed for the WD Purple drive. I disconnected the DVD drive and used that sata port for the hard drive and no issues so far. Fingers crossed
