New firmware for AU NVR (DS-7608NI-I2/8P)

For you information, a newer firmware (v4.51.005) was posted a little while ago on Hikvision's Global site for the 76xxNI-I series NVRs which has been discussed at length on another forum.

There has been very positive feedback on this newest firmware update. In particular the web interface has undergone a major update and been reported that it now works on MacOS with full live view etc.

The web interface looks more modern and from my experience is much snappier.

I allegedly have an Australian region 7608NI-I2/8P NVR which I've updated with V4.51.005 firmware and other earlier firmwares from Hikvision's download portal. The only drawback (if there is one) is that Hikvision Aust will not provide support for firmware not supplied by them.

In my case I'd rather have the updated features and fixes than be stuck on an old firmware release.

I'm the same, I need to have something that works, and so far the local support has been useless so I'm not sacrificing anything there.

Having run this a little longer I'm still seeing zero smart event emails for face detection, which is not looking good.

Not sure if posting links from other sites/forums is allowed but if you Google "Hikvision v4.51.005" you'll find what you want in the first few search results.

I just installed V4.51.005 build 210628 on my Australian DS-7616NI-I2
So far so good
I have a heap of accusence gen 2 so was hoping they would include live-guard in this release but sadly it's not there.

I performed a quick test using Intrusion Detection smart event to trigger an email alert. It worked fine. I know that's not face detection but seems the email alerts are working.

Great feedback. simple events with emails like motion detection are working, just no clue why the face detection smart event won't. Assuming it is a bug specific to face smart events, I might have to look for another event I can use instead.

V4.51.005 has now been replaced with .006 also, if anyone runs into the issue of not being able to log in via web browser after update, refresh your browser cache.

I'm seeing no change to the firmware download file, what update are you looking at?
Not sure what you mean by “what I’m looking at”… it’s on the global site, says it’s .006 and after I installed it, my NVR reports it as .006 I never had .005 I’m coming from 4.50 I like the web interface changes. It looks more like the local interface.

Global site, got it.
