As, you started with six Dauha cameras. It's a good decision to implement those measures for best practices / efficient setup.

These measures are often needed when compounded by a serious condition known as JOMCD*, which seems to be a rampant in the IPCT community.

Play around with the setting you introduced in the guides to see how it impacts on CPU usage. For example. I like my overlays in BI (for some cameras), so that comes at a cost to CPU usage.

All the best, when can I collect that beer?

@pinko - You are the man! I owe you a beer.

Thanks to everyone who helped me get this set up. I think I have a basic setup working and recording 24/7. I followed all of the tips for CPU efficiency.

Question - I logged directly into the cameras and reduced frame rate to 15. I did the same for each camera through BI. MY CPU before this was at 30% and is not running about 12%. Given my initial low CPU usage did this change really matter?
Yes it does matter. Once "you" get used to it, 10FPS is enough in most instances.
