New Synology Play series - do they help with ip cameras?

I have a DS211j NAS box and it seems like the 5 cam limit, the lack of much cpu and ram is hurting me. I was wondering what folks think about the new Ds214play with h.264 HW transcode. Does it actually help? Does this let me play back the 3MP feed from my Dahua camera 4300S feed on my iPad with the dscam app?

I have no direct experience with synology however its easy to see that the 214 is way more powerful...That said, although the 215 has a 15 camera limit that spec is deceiving. Using h.264 the specs are as follows
450 FPS @ 720p (1280x800)
150 FPS @ 1080p (1920×1080)
100 FPS @ 3M (2048x1536)
80 FPS @ 5M (2591x1944)
So if you have more than 5 cams you will need to drop the frame rate to less than 20...not a big deal...but something to consider...
On the other hand the ds211j is rated for 5 cams...although the synology spec sheet does not note the max fps...a google search reveals that it can do only 10fps at 1MP so it should not even be able to handle a single 3mp camera...
