Looks like a new camera system is necessary. Planning on 20+ cameras, an intel hotrod and Blue Iris.
For the computer:
1) What's the best value in an NVME motherboard?
2) Best value in a CPU? How much ram is optimum?
3) Are any used high-spec machines available -- off lease etc. (looking for biggest bang per buck)
4) Computer will have zero connection to the 'net.
For the OS:
1) Is Blue Iris still windows only?
2) What version of windows is thought to have the best thruput?
For the farm cams:
1) What IP POE cams (wired and wireless) are best? Looking for models that don't require endless tweaking.
Cams needs to be varifocal with some pan/tilt. Able to see in low light and/or no light. Reliable tracking would be nice.
2) Some cams will be 1/4 mile from computer.
Sure would appreciate any critique, advice, thoughts you can offer.
