Newbie here, hello all!

I just joined the forum. Have a security system around the house, five Amcrest cameras and an 8-camera NVR. Trying to plus a new Yucheng PTZ 5MP camera into it. So far so good, got a good picture and can pant, tilt, and zoom it with autofocus. But a few problems... Can I run a few Q's by you all?

welcome, i read the cliff and the wiki notes for about two days. Then i looked in the forums and typed my question in the search area and read the forums related to my question. Then i asked questions. Good luck!

Indeed... 50+ pages.. now imagine how many hours of work it took to read through the various threads and assemble those cliff note ;-)

Seriously the best guide you'll find with no vendor sales bs.

Granted, the models listed in there have now been updated with newer models - but all the basics still fully apply.
