Next Version Starlight (3MP?) Expected Release Date?

I've never tried inviting folks to a conversation. :( Maybe @fenderman or @bp2008 would know...

Is the solution something an owner can implement, or does it require a firmware fix?
 
The solution is a firmware change for focus behaviour on day/night switching. The cam needs to store 2 different focus points.
With the Dahua http API you can do it with a bash script and a Raspi or similar, I have started to try this, but I didn't find the http API for NVRs they seems to be different.
But I don't think that this solution is suitable for most of us.
 
I thought the Starlights refocused when they flipped from/to IR mode? Wasn't that the big deal a firmware upgrade or two ago?
 
Did this solution (through firmware) ever get implemented for the cams mentioned here, including the 8331 ? Thanks
